About Scruffs no more, Grooming for Dogs
I’m a qualified and dog first aid trained groomer, so your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always a priority. I take the time to build trust, particularly with nervous or first-time visitors, and never want a dog to feel rushed or overwhelmed.
I also believe in building a relationship with owners. You can expect me to listen to what you want, discuss your dog’s individual grooming needs and offer honest, friendly advice when needed.

- I understand that every dog is different, and not every dog will leave with the perfect groom — and that’s okay. For me, it’s about so much more than achieving the perfect finish.

- My aim is to make grooming as calm, positive and enjoyable as possible, while giving you peace of mind that your dog is being treated with kindness, patience and care every step of the way.

Our approach
Some dogs love being groomed, while others may be nervous, anxious or simply need a little more time. I never expect every dog to behave the same way, and I don’t believe in rushing a dog just to achieve the perfect finish. Their wellbeing always comes first.
For me, success isn’t always about a perfect groom. If I’ve helped your dog feel calmer, more confident or simply made their visit a positive experience, then I know I’ve done something worthwhile.

Sue is amazing - we were desperately looking for a 1:1 groomer who understood the complex needs of our dog. She offered a ‘meet’ before our first appt where our dog could go and check out the environment & meet Sue. She takes her time and gives him the breaks he needs to help build up his confidence. I feel fully at ease leaving him there & he always comes back with a lovely fresh hair cut. Would definitely recommend ☺️

Sue at scruffs no more is exactly what you want from a dog groomer. Friendly, punctual, listens to what you and your dog would/won't like, reasonably priced and very gentle in her approach . Our dog Ted, is happy, well groomed and smells fab when he's seen Sue. Highly recommend 👌

My 4yr old Golden Retriever has been groomed by Sue a number of times and she always comes home looking and smelling beautiful! A typical mud & stinky-puddle loving Goldie, Sue has worked her magic with ease in making her look neat, tidy and elegant again! I know my girl is in safe hands and will be treated with the same love as if she were her own dog.

Fantastic service, it was my Dogs first time at a pooch parlour (Darcy Yellow lab) he was booked in for pampering I’d told Sue that he had never been blowed dried before and wasn’t sure how he would cope with it to amazement he didn’t bat an eyelid. Sue is an amazing she made my dog feel welcome and took her time with him as Darcy can be stubborn when he wants too but he was on his best behaviour and it’s thanks to Sue she really does love all the dogs that she works her magic with
